Jarno Kristelijn

Platform & DevSecOps Engineer building stable, reliable and predictable production environments for business-critical systems, where availability and controlled change management are non-negotiable.

I spent over a decade in QA before moving into platform work and it shows in how I build. Ten years of asking how and why systems fail turns out to be the best possible preparation for making sure they don't. That background still drives how I work, test-driven and in small increments.

I turn fragmented development and deployment processes into automated, traceable pipelines using continuous delivery, infrastructure as code and GitOps principles, so deployments become consistent and reproducible instead of an event.

I work at the architecture level as well as the implementation level. I design secure software delivery platforms for high-security environments, covering pipeline design, artifact signing, supply chain integrity and platform topology. That means defining the assessment criteria for tooling up front and the quality gates a release has to pass, not only building what runs behind them.

Security is part of the pipeline, not a final check. That means vulnerability scanning and SBOMs on every build, policy as code for what is allowed to run and runtime detection on the platform. A security control you can't test or measure is one you can't trust, so I build observability into everything I deliver and decisions rest on measurement, not assumption.

In my spare time, I geek out over specialty coffee, motorcycles, photography and Japanese denim.
